About us
The Lake Ogemaw Marina has been providing boats, and boating products and services for over 35 years to the residents on Lake Ogemaw and to the many customers that live on the 30+ lakes within a short 30 minute drive.
The owners, Dave & Anita Kepley, purchased the marina in the spring of 2004. Like so many of their neighbors they had been part-time residents on Lake Ogemaw since the late 1990’s commuting from Rochester Hills where they lived and raised their family. Dave retired after 25 years from health care management in the Detroit area and now works full time managing the marina. Anita is retired after 30 years as a Secondary English teacher and is often seen helping out at the marina during peak summer weekends. She has also continued her career in education with an active consulting practice, specializing in literacy.
Efficient, honest repair shops that provide quality work are as important as the quality of the products sold. Our marina takes great pride in helping our customers maintain their boats and enjoy the boating experience. The repair shop is led by Mark Bates, Service Manager, and Kelly Bates, Certified Technician. Both are well known (with a total of 35+ years experience together at the marina) for their competence, integrity, and friendly manner.

Philosophy
We take pride in providing competent advice and service in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Many of our customers come from other areas in the state, or from out-of-state. With limited time at “the lake” it is crucial that products provide genuine value and follow-up service be provided in a complete and timely matter. This is emphasized in all aspects of the operations.
